Returns & Refunds

In accordance with the Consumer Rights Act for online purchases we uphold a return policy which lasts 7 days. The customer has the right to a cooling off period of seven (7) business days, starting at the time goods are received, to cancel the contract and return said goods at their own expense, without having to give a reason.

All returns can be indicated beforehand with THE MERCHANT (S Keeling Timber Ltd) customer service department.

All goods must be returned to THE MERCHANT ADDRESS ( S Keeling & Co Ltd Timber Merchants, Forge Lane, Etruria, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST1 5PB) at the customers expense.

Only complete and unused/ undamaged goods in perfect condition for resale will be accepted. No refunds or exchanges will be made for incomplete, damaged or unsealed goods, including damage to original packaging.

The customer can exercise this right to withdrawal without penalty, excepting the return fee for the goods. If the customer exercises the right to withdrawal, they have the option of requesting a full refund or exchange of goods. If an exchange is requested, all shipping expenses shall be the responsibility of the customer.

If the right to refund is exercised, THE MERCHANT ( S Keeling Timber Ltd) will make every effort to refund the customer within 3-5 working days, through the original payment method.

  • What are your business hours?

    Our hours 8am-12.30pm & 1.30pm-4pm Monday to Friday. Outside of hours you can reach us by email at will@skeelingtimnber.co.uk

  • Do you deliver on a Saturday?

    We  unfortunately  don't deliver on a Saturday, however when placing an order online you can use the orders comments box in the checkout to type a set day in and we will get your order to you on that day.  We like to work around you to the best of our ability. 

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

    We accept all credit cards online, and we also accept PayPal payments. All our payment methods our 100% secure. 

  • Can I get a full refund?

  • I can’t find my original receipt. What should I do?

    Please email will@skeelingtimber.co.uk . We can resend you your order receipt.


  • Do you cut Timber & Sheet Material to size?

    We do cut all timber and sheet material to size, you can put cutting comments in the order comments box in the checkout. 

  • What is difference between C16 and C24 timber?

    C24 timber has been graded to a higher standard than C16. It's a premium piece of timber that can handle higher loads and wider spans. C24 grade can only be achieved by importing timber from areas where the climate forces a slower growth rate and hence a tighter grain.

  • What is treated timber?

    Treated timber is pressure impregnated to guard against environmental conditions.

  • Do you have a car park for customers?

    We have a very large customer carpark, you won't have to worry about finding a space.
